Postdoctoral Position
Structured Decision-Making for Barrier Island Restoration Success

Position Details: The primary focus of the positions will be working with local, state, and federal stakeholders to identify key design and management criteria that impact beach and island natural resources (e.g., beach-nesting birds and sea turtles) in the north-central Gulf of Mexico. We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist with an ecological background in barrier islands, birds, or sea turtles with an interest in coastal restoration and adaptive management. The strongest candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of the primary goals of coastal restoration, and a desire to work with an interdisciplinary team of scientists to reach a common goal. If interested send a C.V. and interest statement to nelson@louisiana.edu.
